Preserving Our Quality of Life

Deborah Kynes has fought and voted consistently to preserve Dunedin’s unique small town feeling. Deborah voted for a moratorium on high rise buildings and said, “I genuinely love this community. What I do today is not for myself. We want to preserve the eclecticism, the ambience - that's what I am here for, what I stand for."

We must act prudently during these uncertain times, seeking innovative means of promoting economic growth, tempered with fiscal responsibility. Deborah Kynes’ recognized leadership experience at city, county, regional and state levels will enable her to maximize the expertise of our citizens, businesses and governmental partners to jointly create both new economic possibilities and solutions to our economic challenges.

Maintaining Our Dunedin Lifestyle and “City of Firsts”

Our citizens are feeling the economic burden. We must protect educational and recreational services. Our children must have safe, nurturing environments. Deborah strongly supports the affordable housing projects under construction and we need to create additional opportunities that will allow working families to live in our city. We are Florida’s 1st elder-ready community; we have the #1 beach in the nation, the 1st Purple Heart Park, and have been recognized nationally as the most walk-able small city; the best seaside city in the nation to retire and we recently were named Florida’s 2008 City of Excellence.

Deborah ’s experience will help keep Dunedin #1 through collaborative and innovative leadership.
