Deborah Kynes is passionate about preserving
Dunedin’s unique, eclectic character, quality
of life and home town feeling. Deborah has fought to restrict
building heights, bulk and densities. Deborah believes
that new construction should be compatible with Dunedin's
existing structures and lifestyle.
Deborah is committed to Dunedin 's children and
seniors. She has been an active leader in numerous
community organizations which benefit children and seniors
alike.
Deborah is dedicated to helping the community's
young people. Through Deborah's extensive work,
Dunedin High School students are provided with regular
training and participation in local government through
the City's TV 15 program. Deborah also initiated the Dunedin
Middle School Co-Location recreation project and helped
create a 'free play" recreation facility which is
open seven days a week for youth and citizens of our community
Fighting for Good Government. Deborah believes we must preserve our high quality of city service and manage our City budget conservatively. Deborah voted to reduce Dunedin’s taxes. She is also looking for innovative ways to maintain the high quality services our citizen expect. Deborah has worked tirelessly as an elected official and community volunteer for more than 25 years. Deborah is involved with our community and she listens to all our citizens.
Improving Our Recreation and Culture. Deborah
Kynes was instrumental in partnering with the school system
to open the sports fields at Dunedin Middle School to
the public. Deborah was instrumental in obtaining the
new Community Center and Sterling Skate Park, to serve
all our citizens, young and old. She cares that our city
looks beautiful and meets all our citizens needs. From
the Dunedin Fine Arts Center to our parks, libraries,
public places and history, Deborah Kynes is our advocate
for a better quality of life.
Deborah works toward a bright future for Dunedin and endeavors to provide the quality service that its citizens deserve.
